Why Can't I get Pregnant

by Broken Woman

Why Can't I get pregnant? I have been trying to have a baby for two years now. I am only 29, and I am relatively in good health. My blood pressure is normal, my cholesterol is good, I don't smoke or drink, but I am still overweight. But since when can't overweight people get pregnant?

It so depressing. I know people who shouldn't have kids and it seems like they conceive every single time they have sex. Yet, I waited until I was over 21 to have sex and now I find out that I may have a fertility problem. What's worse is that every other long-term girlfriend my husband has had was pregnant by him. It always ended though, whether by miscarriage or abortion. What is wrong with me. It seems so unfair. I just want a baby. So why can't I get pregnant?

People can be so insensitive too. Do you know my own family jokes about the fact that I haven't been able to get pregnant yet? I have avoided family get together's because of this fact. I wonder of they would still tease me if they knew how many tears I have shed, and will continue to shed, until I have a baby of my very own.

My husband thinks that our fertility problems may have something to do with the fact that he has been with girls who have had abortions, even though he never told him to do it. He feels like he should have fought for his unborn children. I just thinks it's because I'm broken in some way, probably more than one. Is this happening to anyone else?

There could be lots of reasons NEW

There could be so many reasons why you and your husband have not been able to get pregnant up until this point. If your medical insurance covers it, you should see a fertility specialist. They can run some tests and determine exactly what is going on with you and him.

You never know, it might be something minor which could be corrected easily. Or you may need reproductive assistance like an IUI or in vitro fertilization. But it is definitely worth it to find out the problem and the different options available to you. I wish you the best of luck.
