What does quickening feel like?

What does quickening feel like? I am only 13 weeks pregnant right now. I know they say that you probably won't be able to feel the baby move until week 16 or so, but how will I know. What are some of the signs and symptoms I should be looking for? Does it hurt, should I be worried if it doesn't happen by the 16th week?

I felt my first at 16 NEW

When I was pregnant I didn't start feeling the baby move until week 16 like the said. It was funny at first. Do you know how it feels when you get a spasm and your eye jumps uncontrollably. It felt a little like that, but in my lower abdomen.

It could also resemble food digestion when you eat something that doesn't agree with you. Does that ever happen to you? Sometimes even know after I eat a huge meal, or a particularly fatty one, I will be able to hear and feel the digestion process going on. It feels like little thumps or bumps in your belly when it first starts happening. My little one was pretty quiet or still during the day while I was at work. I didn't sense any movement until the evenings when I got home, and especially before I went to bed for the night.

But by the end in your third trimester they will be full on kicks, and yes they can hurt. That usually happens when the baby hits an organ or a rib, which is just about everywhere inside of your body. The kicks that come straight out to your stomach itself really don't cause any pain, but they are fund to watch. You will be able to see the baby move in the third trimester. Good luck.
