Pregnancy 34 weeks and preeclampsia strikes

Pregnancy 34 weeks and preeclampsia strikes. I am pregnant with twins and was forced to have an emergency c-section last month. I was a very worried because for myself and my babies.

They had me on a magnesium drip for 2 whole days after I delivered. And that meant that I could not see my babies, I could not breastfeed, and I could not eat any solid foods. I was heartbroken. I was all alone for most of the time, in and out of consciousness, and had not held my babies at all. Talk about depressed.

On day 3 they allowed me to go see my little boy and girl because I was well enough to come off of the magnesium drip. They were doing well and breathing on their own. They hadn't started feeding them with a bottle yet but advised me not to try to breastfeed because it would take too much strength from the babies. Again heartbreak and depression.

What is this preeclampsia? It has stole something from me that was priceless and irreplacable.
