I am overweight, when will I start to show

If I am overweight when will I start to show? I was a womens' size 18 before I became pregnant and right now I am wearing a maternity 18W. I had to start buying maternity clothes because my pants were cutting in to my belly when I sat down and I don't want to hurt the baby, but I really don't have a pregnant belly yet.

I am currently 16 weeks right now. When I go to m OB visits I see women who look officially pregnant at the same number of weeks but I still just look fat. When will I begin to show?

It depends on how your body stretches and grows NEW

It really depends on how your body stretches and grows to accommodate the fetus. If this is your first pregnancy then you may not appear pregnant until you reach 5, 6 or even 7 months. I know a lady who didn't look pregnant until her 8th month because she already had a big belly before she got pregnant. You may also never experience a fully firm, round, hard stomach like most impregnated women will get. But as long as you have a healthy pregnancy and delivery it doesn't matter. Just let your job know about your condition if you do something strenuous, like construction or stocking shelves. They should be able to make special arrangements for you during this time.
