Birth stories, and tales of labor and delivery. The baby story is one that never seems to get old, and each one is unique. When I was a pregnant, soon-to-be-mom I could not get enough of them.
It is just something about hearing of how another woman dealt with the pain of labor, the joy of birth, toughing it through the contractions, and overcoming unforeseen complications that puts your mind at ease and gives you a quiet, inner strength that you never knew you had.
The miracle of life does not always take 40 weeks. Technology and medicine has advanced so much that there are premature babies that have survived at 24 weeks gestation! It is important to always follow your doctors orders, stay away from drugs and alcohol during pregnancy, and listen to your body (it usually lets you know when you need to slow down and take a rest). But if you do everything you are supposed to and still go into labor early there is a good chance of survival.
So relax and read some of these tales of labor and delivery. They are meant to inform, educate, entertain, and connect with others online. Feel free to write your own story as well.
Whether this is your first baby or your last we would love to hear your story!
