6 weeks pregnant is probably the most common week that pregnancy is discovered. This is usually two weeks after your missed period and a confirmation of pregnancy by either a pregnancy test taken at home or at your doctor's office. This is also the time that most women start to experience multiple early pregnancy symptoms. But what are they? We will discuss this further as we go along.
By now your body has gone through multiple stages, possibly without you knowing anything at all. The egg produces during your last menstrual cycle was fertilized by a sperm. The fertilized egg has embedded itself into your uterus and began to develop in to the embryo it is now. Your body is producing hormones need in order for your baby to grow and receive nourishment, as well as prepare you for motherhood.
So what are these early pregnancy symptoms that you may experience at 6 weeks pregnant:

The most accurate ways to tell if you are pregnant would me a missed period, along with a positive pregnancy test. But there are some cases where those two methods could be false as well. Every body is different. It is best to see a doctor if you believe that you may be pregnant.
When discussing your pregnancy weeks and the age of your fetus it is important to remember that there is a two week difference involved. Most medical professionals start calculating your pregnancy from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP), while the age of the fetus doesn't begin until after conception, about two weeks later. So when you are 6 weeks pregnant your baby/fetus is 4 weeks along in growth.
Right now your baby is about .08 to .16 of an inch, or 2 to 4mm long. This is the average measurement from crown-to-rump. This would be the top of your baby's head to the bottom of what will soon be their buttocks. The heart has heart is in its beginning stage of development, and though it can't be heard with a fetal doppler heartbeat monitor as of yet, it can be seen on an ultrasound using the right equipment.
