29 Weeks Pregnant - What to expect during the 29th week

At 29 weeks pregnant you are approaching the last quarter of the race. Though you are in your third trimester, your baby and body still have many changes, growth and development to accomplish. During pregnancy week 29 many women discover new sources of discomfort and/or concern. We will discuss these symptoms and signs as we go forward.

For many women pregnancy week 29 is when the back pain starts or gets more severe. In order to stand up straight you use muscles, including muscles in your stomach. Why is this happening? It could be because of the pressure that the growing baby inside your belly is putting on your spine. You may also notice that you are starting to do the "pregnant waddle" when you walk, if you haven't started already.

How big is my baby at 29 weeks?

How big is your baby during week 29? When you are in week 29 the fetus age is actually 27 weeks. Your fetal age is always two weeks behind your gestational age. Right now your baby weighs about 2 pounds and 12 ounces (1.25kg). Its length from crown to rump is about 10 and a half inches (26cm). But the total length if outside the womb would be about 16 3/4 inches (37cm). Remember that these are just estimates to give you an idea of what the average fetal measurements are for most babies this age.

What happend to you at 29 weeks pregnant? We want to know.

Do you want to share what has been happening to you at this week of pregnancy? Your story will really help a lot of other women. So share it!
